Job Title: Lecturer in Construction Management

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Construction Management to join our team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and inspiring students in the principles and practices of construction project management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive course materials, including live online learning, to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
  • Supervise student projects and provide support and feedback to students.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in construction management.
  • Participate in staff development activities and peer observations.
  • Contribute to the decision-making process and develop productive working relationships within the team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Previous lecturing experience in similar courses.
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan, and prioritize own workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience teaching construction management with a focus on building information modeling (BIM) and digital technologies.
  • Experience facilitating computer-aided design workshops.
  • Full membership of CIOB or an equivalent body.
