The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers with either an Electrical or Mechanical bias to join our dedicated team at our production facility in Sittingbourne.

Your Role: Ensuring Seamless Production Operations

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in keeping our production lines running smoothly. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions across a range of complex systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborating with production teams and other engineers to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Analyzing plant condition data and providing recommendations for improvements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship training in a similar engineering role is highly desirable.
  • Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent) are preferred for Electrical Engineers.
  • A strong understanding of current health and safety regulations and environmental best practices.
  • Proven experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues from various departments.
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous for both Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be beneficial for Mechanical Engineers.
