Job Description

Our client, a leading expert in carbon-ceramic materials, is seeking a skilled Heat Treatment Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on various manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, vacuum pumps, and cooling systems.
  • Plan and prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
  • Implement preventative maintenance on all plant equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to breakdowns promptly, identify faults, and problem-solve with minimal downtime to production.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Report equipment faults and concerns to management, including root cause analysis.
  • Responsible for all electrical work, including lighting, installation, and fault finding.
  • Ensure all electrical and P&ID drawings are up to date.
  • Comply with all H&S procedures, legislation, and company policies.
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard.
  • Work alongside contractors as and when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement throughout the Maintenance System.
Requirements:
  • Hold at least a HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Transferrable skills to work in a multidisciplinary manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of PLCs, variable drives, control, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on your own with minimum supervision.
  • Current driver's license and access to a car.
  • MS Office skills.
