About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our European Debt Advisory team in London. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior practitioners to advise boards, management teams, lenders, and shareholders on optimizing capital structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage specific workstreams on debt advisory engagements, providing support to senior team members and managing external stakeholders.
  • Project manage parts of an engagement, collaborating with Debt Advisory and other service line teams to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support management teams in preparing and challenging business plans, developing and analyzing financing options.
  • Liaise with lawyers to understand key aspects of legal documentation and drive documentation processes.
  • Manage teams, create effective delegation and development opportunities for junior members, and actively manage company risk.
  • Support business development activities, identifying and pursuing potential opportunities, and expanding jobs and services to existing clients.
  • Actively support practice and talent development, providing on-job coaching and development to junior team members.
Requirements
  • Broad financial structuring experience, gained as an advisor or analyst in a professional services company, consultancy, or investment bank.
  • Strong understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements, and relevant financial and legal documentation.
  • Good understanding of the financial marketplace, its trends, and key players.
  • Developed network of relevant contacts in the market.
  • Very strong analytical skills, including business analytics, business planning, short-term cash flows, and financing options.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with evidence of leading teams and providing advice to clients in difficult situations.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams and develop people.
  • Commitment to working under pressure, sometimes long hours, and putting the client at the centre.
