Workshop and Design Technician

We are seeking a skilled Workshop and Design Technician to join our team at an established engineering design company based in north Leominster. As a Workshop and Design Technician, you will play a crucial role in the organisation, safety, preparation, and assembly of exciting engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with site safety, including tool checks, risk assessments, and general repairs
  • Coordinate the workshop, including the supply of materials for a range of specialised engineering projects
  • Assist with project prototypes, assembly work, and the design process, utilising a variety of hand tools and engineering machinery, including welding and spraying, working on 3D printing and associated materials
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate a hands-on, practical approach, eager to support the building of prototypes and test new designs in our workshop
  • Hold an engineering qualification (HNC or HND or a degree), but attitude/engagement is more important
  • Computer literacy with experience using CAD or similar
  • Candidates who can demonstrate an outside interest that will enhance their skill set will be considered
What We Offer:
  • Starting salary: Circa £27,000 per annum
  • Working hours: Days/40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
  • Onsite parking
