Job Overview

South Central Ambulance Service NHS is seeking to hire multiple 111 Call Operators to join the team based in Oxfordshire.

As a 111 Call Handler/Operator, your responsibilities will include answering incoming calls from the public and providing appropriate healthcare guidance.

You will receive comprehensive training on NHS Pathways, assess patient needs, and take necessary actions such as dispatching ambulances or providing advice.

  • Answer and respond to incoming 111 calls
  • Ensure Pathways is followed for correct advice
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor
Main Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in IT systems
  • Educational background in healthcare or a related field
  • Experience in customer-facing roles
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate information recording and documentation
