Job Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the metals industry, is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Internal Salesperson to join their team in Stockport. This role is ideal for an individual with a passion for sales and a strong commitment to customer service. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and growing the company's customer base, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and contributing to the achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain long-term, productive relationships with existing customers.
- Respond to customer requests efficiently and courteously, aiming to understand and pre-empt their unique needs.
- Carry out prompt calls to develop and expand business with existing customers.
- Promote current and new product lines to both prospective and existing customers.
- Process customer orders and follow up on quotes, outstanding orders, etc.
- Liaise with customers to successfully resolve any potential issues, increasing sales and revenues as appropriate.
- Provide a high level of customer service to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Conduct proactive sales calls to prospective customers, including cold calling and product pitching, while maintaining good relationships with new contacts.
- Promote the benefits of making purchases with our client over their competitors.
- Consistently meet and strive to exceed KPIs and personal sales targets.
- Liaise with the sales team and other company departments, including Head Office, as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in Sales essential, ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Strong aptitude for learning and being an active part of the team.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- First-class communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate and meet deadlines.
- Highly numerate, well-organised, and with outstanding attention to detail.
Benefits:
- £26,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience
