We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Service at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients in need of urgent medical attention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work autonomously as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, providing advanced clinical assessment skills through telephone triage and face-to-face consultations.
  • Take responsibility for assessing, diagnosing, treating, or referring patients, using your expertise and judgment to make informed decisions.
  • Undertake telephone triage work and provide advice to patients, as well as mobile visiting to assess and treat patients in their own homes.
  • Request and interpret tests as necessary, and work with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional nights, and be flexible with working days and hours.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current registration with the NMC or HCPC.
  • Post-registration Advanced Clinical Practice or completion of 2 or more clinical skills modules.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (NMP) qualification.
  • Minor Injury and Minor Illness experience.
