About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Procurement and Homecare Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the pharmacy team in the procurement and management of medicines for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Procurement and Homecare Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and building new contracts and frameworks for pharmacy procurement
- Updating script templates and managing KPI reports
- Managing switches to generic medicines and processing homecare prescriptions
- Purchasing medicines, managing shortages, and invoicing
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the pharmacy procurement department
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience in hospital pharmacy, with a focus on procurement and homecare
- Previous experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines
