Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Paralegal to join our team at a reputable corporate law firm in the family department. As a Family Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting Solicitors with case preparation, conducting legal research, and managing case files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Solicitors with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, providing excellent customer service.
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and organize evidence, ensuring that all necessary documents are readily available.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including creating bundles and drafting court applications.
  • Attend client meetings and take notes, ensuring that all relevant information is captured.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Family Paralegal.
  • Experience in both private family law and legal aid is highly desirable.
  • Law degree or Paralegal qualification is essential.
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures and court rules is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
