The esteemed CT imaging department at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiographer to join our team as a permanent Band 7 CT Imaging Specialist.
In this role, you will perform a diverse array of CT imaging procedures, collaborating with our dynamic CT team and the broader multi-disciplinary team within the organization. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, managing workflow for both inpatient and outpatient requests, mentoring junior staff, and fulfilling various administrative duties.
Flexibility is essential, as you will rotate across multiple imaging locations and may be required to work extended hours, including participation in the out-of-hours service.
Candidates should possess a DCR (R) or a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography, demonstrate ongoing professional development, and hold current HCPC Registration. Experience in cross-sectional imaging is crucial, and comprehensive training will be provided.

Job Duties
The CT Imaging department at our Trust employs a variety of advanced scanning techniques, some of which are unique within the country and, in certain research contexts, globally. Our close collaboration with the University of Cambridge and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus enables us to utilize cutting-edge technology and imaging protocols, positioning us at the forefront of research and the development of innovative techniques.
We operate five CT scanners on-site, along with additional scanners at local community diagnostic centers, as part of our initiative to enhance community-based imaging services.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- DCR (R) or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Current HCPC registration

- IV cannulation certification
