Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Hunter AHP. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines for our patients.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on medicines management to clinical staff and patients.
  • Participate in clinical ward rounds, supporting pharmacists in the review of medications and contributing to clinical decision-making.
  • Dispense and check medications, ensuring the safe and accurate preparation and supply of pharmaceutical products.
  • Carry out clinical interventions, including resolving medication-related issues, advising on therapy options, and promoting best practice in the use of medicines.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely documentation of medication-related activities and interventions.
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols for medicine use.
  • Actively engage in continuing professional development and contribute to the learning and development of the pharmacy team.
Requirements:
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Hold a relevant post-registration qualification, including an accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or similar healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of medicines management and ability to provide high-quality patient-focused care.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work as part of a team in a busy hospital environment.
  • Commitment to personal and professional development.
