The organization prides itself on delivering precise construction guidance within the built environment. Due to the ongoing success of the CDM division, a vacancy has emerged for a Lead CDM Consultant to join the team. The successful candidate will benefit from engaging with a varied client portfolio.
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Lead Partner in managing multiple programs across the region. The ideal Lead CDM Consultant will oversee projects in various sectors, including commercial, residential, educational, and retail. This position is perfect for an experienced CDM professional who desires the independence to manage their own projects while collaborating with high-level stakeholders and identifying new business prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive range of health & safety/CDM services to a diverse clientele.
- Manage design risk registers, ensuring they are regularly updated as projects evolve, and conduct design risk assessments alongside design team meetings, offering insights on safety in design.
- Possess familiarity with all relevant documentation related to CDM 2015, such as Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), Pre-Construction Information (PCI), and Health & Safety files, ensuring these documents are consistently updated.
- Engage with various project stakeholders, including clients, principal contractors, and architects, keeping them informed regarding health & safety/CDM issues.
- Ensure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are established for each project.
- Enhance existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities for business growth.
Qualifications and Skills
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Membership in IOSH, APS, IIRSM, or a comparable professional organization.
- Thorough understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Solid knowledge of the Building Safety Act and its implications for the industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Valid UK driving license.
