Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced pricing models using data science techniques to optimize our pricing algorithms.
  • Lead the identification of challenges and opportunities by analyzing our data and presenting actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to gain approval for recommended changes and ensure clear articulation of business benefits and risks.
  • Manage and develop a team of analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and upskilling to enhance their technical abilities.
  • Ensure all implemented models adhere to regulatory and fair value measures, escalating any breaches.
Requirements
  • Passion for data analysis and drawing meaningful insights to inform business decisions.
  • Experience in a Pricing Manager role with extensive knowledge of UK Motor or Home insurance products and markets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, lead, and mentor a team.
  • Significant experience in delivering statistical models, including GLMs, GBMs, and other relevant techniques.
  • Strong governance awareness to ensure models comply with regulatory and fair value measures.
  • Experience with insurance pricing software, such as Radar and Emblem, and statistical software, including SQL, SAS, and Python.
