Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Engineer to join our team at Chooseulverston. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our products and systems, particularly in the Defence and Marine sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety analysis and assessment activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide governance and assurance of safety processes, including approvals and feedback on problematic areas.
  • Educate and train wider teams on safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety solutions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in high-hazard industries, such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc.
  • Safety case development and engineering skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in Product Safety Engineering.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including TUV, HAZID, HAZAN, ALARP, FTA, FHA, FSA, HAZOP.
  • Software and hardware expertise.
  • Programme and engineering delivery experience.
