Copello is seeking a Product Safety Engineer to join their team on behalf of a Defence Prime. The successful candidate will work on current gen and next-gen programmes, responsible for the governance of safety analysis and assessment activities, assuring process approvals, and providing feedback and constructive criticism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety cases for complex systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Provide training and education to colleagues on safety procedures and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working in high-hazard industries, such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc.
  • Strong safety case development and engineering skills.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in Product Safety Engineering.
  • Knowledge of TUV, HAZID, HAZAN, ALARP, FTA, FHA, FSA, HAZOP.
  • Software and hardware expertise.
  • Programme and engineering delivery experience.
