Job Title: Head of Finance

Benfleet Scrap Co. Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our finance function and drive business growth.

Job Summary:

The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finance department, ensuring efficient financial operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring they function effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
  • Monitor and maintain financial controls, ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial recording, analysis, and reporting.
  • Oversee the sales ledger and credit control functions, ensuring effective management of customer relationships.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger function, including review of payment runs and management of supplier relationships.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accurate financial planning and projections.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and insurers, to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Requirements:
  • Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and relevant experience in industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
