In this role, the Technical Analysis Specialist will be integral to delivering dynamic and finite-element analysis services tailored for the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas industries. Collaborating closely with the Engineering Team, you will identify client analysis needs, devise solutions for engineering challenges, and oversee analysis on active projects while contributing to the enhancement of analysis methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ascertain client analysis requirements and formulate effective solutions.
  • Oversee and guide analysis on current projects to ensure timely delivery of critical outcomes.
  • Engage in the continuous refinement of analysis techniques.
  • Evaluate client proposals to understand their needs and determine the most suitable analysis approach.
  • Prepare and assess analysis input data, coordinating with clients and the internal engineering team to ensure optimal data utilization.
  • Construct and enhance analysis models and methodologies.
  • Review and validate OrcaFlex analysis models developed by the engineering team.
  • Execute simulations and analyze results.
  • Draft and critique reports.
  • Support product development and research initiatives.
  • Coordinate with testing functions and assist the engineering team in formulating test plans and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in design FEA analysis tools such as ANSYS and Abaqus.
  • Experience with OrcaFlex.
  • Familiarity with a variety of analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD for design purposes.
  • Background in subsea engineering within Offshore wind farms or related fields such as marine, oil, and gas.
  • Experience with subsea umbilicals, risers, flowlines (SURF), and/or power cables.
  • Possession of an Engineering Degree – BEng, MSc, or equivalent.
