Commercial Operations Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute commercial strategies to enhance project profitability and ensure sustainable growth.
  • Manage contract negotiations, securing favorable terms while minimizing risks.
  • Oversee project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow to maintain financial stability and meet financial objectives.
  • Work closely with project teams to identify opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and conflict resolution efforts to achieve beneficial outcomes for our organization.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of project specifications, drawings, and requirements to accurately estimate material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Prepare detailed and competitive bids and proposals that align with client expectations and project goals.
  • Utilize industry-leading software and methodologies to generate accurate estimates and cost forecasts.

Cost Analysis Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs and measurements to accurately assess project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for tender submissions and project planning.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and value engineering assessments to optimize project budgets and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures, identifying and addressing cost variations and discrepancies.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters, variations, claims, and cost control strategies to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.
A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in commercial operations, estimating, and cost analysis within the steelwork fabrication sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and commercial negotiation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex project specifications and drawings.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
