Position Summary
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Electrical/Electronic Engineer, taking on the responsibilities of Assistant Technical Manager for the company’s innovative products and solutions. This role is pivotal, acting as a bridge between the Technical/R&D Manager and various departments including Production, Sales & Marketing, and Operations.
The successful applicant will serve as the technical manager's representative, facilitating the introduction of new products, executing enhancements, modifying builds or configurations, and ensuring quality assurance standards are met.
This multifaceted position demands a robust background in electrical engineering coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collaboration between the Technical and Operations Departments to guarantee the seamless incorporation of technical advancements, new product launches, and software updates into production.
- Assist the Technical Manager in evaluating all new software and hardware products as part of the technical approval process.
- Create, maintain, and oversee technical documentation and procedural guidelines.
- Conduct regular evaluations and inspections to ensure adherence to quality control and assurance protocols.
- Provide internal technical support for Sales, Marketing, second-line Technical Support, Field Engineers, and Production teams.
- Facilitate training sessions to improve technical knowledge and familiarize teams with new products.
Candidate Profile
The candidate must possess at least an HND in electronic engineering.
A solid understanding and practical experience with RF technology and radio systems are essential.
Experience in production processes is required.
Ability to establish and implement production processes is necessary.
Experience in an ISO-certified environment is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role is essential.
Compensation Package
The salary range for this position is £45,000–£55,000, contingent upon meeting the key qualifications and competencies.
