HGV Class 2 Driver

We are the UK's largest independent fencing, timber and builders' merchants, with 36 branches, 700 employees and £200 million turnover. Founded in 1921, we operate across London and the South East of England.
The RoleWe are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 driver with Hiab license to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering a friendly and efficient service on and off company premises.
Key Responsibilities- Drive safely and courteously, complying with current legislation and ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading.
- Cultivate exceptional customer service standards, adhering to Lawsons' Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies.
- Proactively contribute to company sales by seeking out potential opportunities.
- Be vigilant to prevent loss or damage of product and vehicle, reporting any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately.
- A valid HGV Class 2 License.
- A valid Hiab License.
- A positive and friendly attitude, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and methodical approach.
- Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated and adaptable, with good interpersonal skills and confidence to approach customers.
- Excellent time management skills and a desire to develop a knowledge of the company, our products and the elements required to be successfully employed in this business.
- Salary £36,000 - £38,000, dependant on experience.
- 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays rising in Jan 2025 to 25 days holiday plus one day as a Celebration day + Bank holidays.
