Position Overview
We are seeking a Mobile Mechanical Technician to become a vital part of our engineering team. This role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Mechanical Technician, you will be tasked with:

  • Addressing equipment failures promptly to minimize downtime and ensuring that temporary solutions are followed by permanent fixes.
  • Executing urgent repair tasks efficiently across all operational machinery.
  • Collaborating in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Managing small-scale projects with a proactive and practical approach.
  • Implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies and participating in root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
  • Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers during their on-site activities.
  • Performing welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard.
  • Utilizing risk assessments and method statements to contribute to the development of safe working practices for repair operations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities using our computerized management system, including fault descriptions, parts utilized, and repairs conducted.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be self-driven, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently. You should possess:

  • A solid background in mechanical systems, preferably within heavy industry, including experience with conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other related equipment.
  • The ability to perform urgent repairs on production machinery efficiently.
  • Skills to assess safety, health, and environmental risks associated with maintenance tasks and manage them effectively.
