Lead Electrical Systems Engineer Opportunity

A259 Recruitment is proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join a prominent engineering firm. This position focuses on the adaptation of industrial material handling systems for the detection of gases and explosives in potentially dangerous environments, ensuring adherence to ATEX, Ex, and IEC Ex regulations.

The successful applicant will possess a background in the industrial vehicle or marine sectors, coupled with practical experience in the design of electrical solutions, including Ex certified primary traction batteries. Key responsibilities encompass the design of electrical systems utilizing AutoCAD, defining testing protocols, selecting components for system integration, and producing comprehensive project documentation.

Key Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical cabling applicable to automotive, industrial, or marine sectors
  • Practical experience in electrical wiring tasks
  • Proficiency in designing electrical systems with AutoCAD
  • Ability to define testing requirements
  • Expertise in component selection for integration
  • Competence in creating detailed project documentation

Preferred candidates will have familiarity with electrical and electronic control systems, experience in a regulated setting, and strong troubleshooting abilities in intricate electrical systems. A qualification at HND or Degree level in a relevant discipline is essential.
