About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mobile Cleaning Operative to join our team at South Gloucestershire Council. As a Mobile Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring our corporate buildings are clean and safe for pupils and staff to learn and work in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning duties to the specifications and levels required to maintain a good level of hygiene across all Council sites.
  • Travel to various corporate sites to cover for annual leave and other absences.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and proper manner.
  • Move cleaning equipment and materials, requiring regular bending, crouching, and lifting.

Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence and regular access to a vehicle or alternative appropriate means of travel.
  • Good organisational skills, enabling you to follow instructions correctly and complete tasks to an agreed standard.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Business insurance added to your personal car policy.
