About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Administrator to join our team at Lidl GB. As a key member of our Customs team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth import and export of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to inform classification decisions
  • Accurately record and maintain classification records
  • Investigate trade agreements, import requirements, and prohibitions/restrictions to ensure compliance
  • Support the buying and international teams in determining product eligibility
  • Develop and maintain our classification log and process flow charts
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
  • Transfer technical Customs knowledge to operational teams

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the Customs landscape is highly desirable
  • Understanding of Import and Export Customs procedures
  • Working knowledge of the UK Tariff Schedule and General Rules of Interpretation (GIR) and Explanatory Notes
  • Aptitude to work with data and logical mindset
  • Proficient in Excel and good communication skills
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills, with excellent organizational skills
  • Highly focused and accurate with an eye for detail
