Customs Assistant Team Manager

About the Role

Lidl is seeking a highly skilled Customs Assistant Team Manager to join our dynamic Customs & Import team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality and compliance of Lidl's customs activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of specialists, including delegation and workload management
  • Train and coach members of the compliance and audit team
  • Oversee customs compliance and audit processes to adhere to trade rules and regulations
  • Build import data reports and dashboards
  • Check, review, and analyze import data trade sets
  • Identify areas of development and optimize processes
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience in Customs Compliance and Trade Compliance
  • Technical understanding of import data analysis
  • Level 4+ Certificate in Customs Compliance or other applicable customs and trade certifications
  • Detailed knowledge and experience working with customs import data
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
  • Analytical mind-set with the ability to analyze large data sets
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
