About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join our team at Birmingham City Council. As a key member of our Digital and Technology Services team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and transforming our data landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust data architectures that enable data-driven decisions
  • Develop and maintain data governance structures, ensuring data quality and standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide insights
  • Utilize data integration, storage, transformation, and modelling components
  • Implement data visualization and analytics solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of data engineering tools and techniques
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions
  • Expertise in Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake
  • Advanced skills in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure HDInsight
