ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Engineer to drive the adoption of cloud technologies at Optos. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and innovative team where you will be shaping the company's future cloud capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement creative Azure technical solutions to support Optos' business needs.
  • Migrate workloads to the cloud and connect and manage hybrid cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Solutions Architect to formulate strategic and tactical planning around Optos' cloud systems.
  • Monitor cloud services performance and evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
  • Provide 3rd line user support and resolve issues to ensure effective use of cloud systems.
  • Implement cloud projects and enhancements using best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or degree in IT or related subject or equivalent education gained through work experience.
  • Good understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • Experience working with Azure and the Microsoft cloud stack.
  • Proven track record in cloud infrastructure engineering and support.
  • Understanding of cloud governance technologies for cost management and control.
  • Previous experience working in an engineering role, preferably from an IT infrastructural background.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology.
