Job Summary:
MLK Education Search is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team of professionals. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a unique and therapeutic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans to meet the needs of students with SEN
- Provide instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and one-on-one sessions
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to ensure comprehensive support for students
- Assess and monitor student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student support
Requirements:
- QTS and Induction completion or equivalent teacher training
- At least a good first degree in a core subject
- Successful experience in delivering the Primary or Secondary curriculum in a similar setting
- Further training or qualifications related to SEMH/SEN
