About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure Administration team at the City of Glasgow College.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, including servers, Active Directory, Azure, and Office365. You will work closely with our security team to ensure the college is secure, compliant, and following industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office365
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our IT systems
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem diagnosis
  • Support users with IT-related issues
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance and industry best practices
Requirements
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office365
  • Experience with cloud services and their administration
  • Windows Server 2016 and onwards administration and patching
  • Essential skills: Active Directory System Administration, Group Policy Management, Azure AD and Office365 PowerShell experience
  • Desirable skills: VMWare vSphere and HyperV hypervisor experience, experience of VDI infrastructure, experience of Linux servers, Enterprise SAN storage arrays, Cisco UCS and associated management platforms, experience of Database technologies and administration
