Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Documentation and Review:
    Develop, review, and negotiate various legal documents, including franchise agreements and related documents, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Compliance Management:
    Lead the update of Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and other relevant authorities, and assist in enforcing franchise agreements in compliance with the FTC and other relevant authorities.
  • Risk Management:
    Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting franchise compliance and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders, develop strategies to mitigate identified risks, and implement necessary corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, paralegal studies, or related field with 7+ years of experience and 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and proven track record of managing complex legal issues and leading compliance programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferred experience in franchising or multi-brand environment.
  • Certification in compliance or related fields (e.g., Certified Franchise Executive, Compliance and Ethics Professional) a plus.
