Job Opportunity

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with a leading food business to find a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join their Technical & Quality function at their Hertfordshire site.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining the site's QMS and Food Safety Systems. Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining QMS and other food safety systems
  • Leading the site's HACCP team
  • Conducting internal and external audits
  • Coordinating the hygiene team
  • Reviewing and maintaining internal product quality specs and due diligence
  • Working collaboratively to ensure site standards are maintained at all times
  • Undertaking mass balance tests and traceability
  • Investigating customer complaints
  • Providing staff training for all new and existing staff
  • Deputising for the Quality Manager as required

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-3 years' experience working in a similar role within a chilled food environment
  • HACCP and Food Safety level 3+ certification
  • Previous leadership experience/skills would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
