Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

North Hertfordshire College is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality and compliance of our training programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our teaching and assessment processes meet regulatory standards, supporting continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within our training delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the delivery of apprenticeship and adult education programs to ensure they meet the requirements of awarding bodies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Conduct regular audits of learner portfolios, training sessions, and assessments to ensure consistency and high standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sector regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and guidelines.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Onefile to ensure that effective use is made of the system.
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in quality assurance (e.g., TAQA, IQA Level 4, V1).
  • Significant experience in quality assurance within the education sector, specifically in apprenticeships and adult education.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for apprenticeship and adult education programs.
  • Proven track record of managing quality assurance processes and leading a team.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with e-portfolios.
