Job Summary:

The Charalle Group is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our National Finance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of our business and its internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
  • Apply business understanding to enable improved operational performance to be delivered within our service lines through the production of accurate and meaningful management information with an appropriate layer of insight.
  • Assist the Commercial Finance Lead in supporting our service line heads, helping to drive performance improvement in areas such as:
    • Financial-related working practices
    • Efficient use of resources
    • Profitability on jobs
    • Working capital management
  • Adept best practice in the production and use of management information and key performance indicators.
  • Develop an understanding of our firm's culture and strategy and how change is achieved.
  • Build excellent working relationships with appropriate stakeholders and particularly with other members of the Commercial Finance team.
  • Undertake specific related projects as agreed.

Requirements:

  • A-Level or equivalent qualifications including GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or with some equivalent accountancy qualification or experience.
  • IT proficient with strong MS Excel skills.
  • A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload effectively.
  • Resilient and persevering to achieve deadlines or resolve problems.
