This company is currently navigating a pivotal phase with a reputable private equity partner and is anticipated to engage in a sale process in the foreseeable future. With a strong international footprint and a respected brand, this position is particularly sought after.
The organization fosters a positive cultural environment, characterized by a commendable record of internal promotions and employee retention. They are in search of a Financial Controller to work closely with the CFO, playing a crucial role in implementing significant business transformations. The ideal candidate will possess robust technical skills, serve as an effective business partner to enhance cross-departmental communication, optimize systems, and deliver insightful analyses to senior management while adhering to 'best in class' standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting operations with a team of 10 direct reports.
- Engage in business partnering with the Head of Commercial Finance and other senior stakeholders.
- Report directly to the CFO.
- Supervise the month-end closing process to ensure precise reporting.
- Manage and nurture the accounting team.
- Accountable for monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Actively contribute to optimizing the company's working capital cycle.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of financial compliance, including regulatory requirements and accounting standards such as UKGAAP and IFRS.
Candidate Requirements
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with significant post-qualification experience.
- Background in manufacturing or consumer brands.
- Demonstrated passion for technical finance with proven leadership experience, capable of establishing a 'best in class' finance function.
