About the Role

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of an asset management firm to fill a senior lawyer position on an interim basis for six months.

The role will be part of a small London team and will work closely with counterparts in the US to undertake private equity work for investments in private companies and related agreements and transactional documents.

This is a highly commercial role that requires strong relationships with stakeholders and the ability to build trust quickly.

Candidates must be England & Wales qualified and have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience.

A background in asset management and exposure to fixed income is preferred, but the key requirement is a strong transactional and advisory private equity background.

The role will be offered on a hybrid basis to the London office and will involve working autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake private equity work for investments in private companies
  • Prepare and review related agreements and transactional documents
  • Work closely with stakeholders to build relationships and trust
  • Provide advisory services on private equity transactions

Requirements:

  • England & Wales qualified
  • At least 8 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong transactional and advisory private equity background
  • Background in asset management and exposure to fixed income preferred
