Position Summary:
Creative Personnel is looking for a talented and dedicated Audio Visual Technician. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the installation, operation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of audio and visual systems for a variety of events and setups. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, robust technical expertise, and outstanding customer service skills.
Primary Duties:
- Installation and Operation:
- Assemble, configure, and manage audio, video, and lighting systems for live events, conferences, and other gatherings.
- Prepare and test microphones, speakers, video displays, projectors, recording devices, soundboards, and other related electronic apparatus.
- Maintenance and Problem Resolution:
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections on AV systems to guarantee peak performance.
- Diagnose and rectify technical difficulties with AV equipment promptly.
- Keep an updated inventory of AV tools and ensure all items are functioning properly.
- Event Assistance:
- Deliver on-site technical support during events to facilitate seamless operation of AV systems.
- Work closely with event planners to ascertain AV needs and offer expert recommendations on optimal solutions.
- Ensure all AV configurations comply with safety standards and organizational protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- A diploma or degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as an AV Technician or in a comparable position, ideally within a live event or corporate setting.
- Technical Proficiencies:
- Skilled in the assembly and management of AV systems, including soundboards, mixers, microphones, projectors, and lighting equipment.
- Strong comprehension of signal flow and AV networking principles.
- Experience in troubleshooting AV systems and equipment.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
- Able to perform under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedules.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift and transport heavy AV equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods.
