We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Specialist to join our team at Turning Point. As a key member of our Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, you will play a vital role in delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across the county.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver interactive workshops on drugs and alcohol to Key Stage 2-5 students, providing factual and up-to-date harm reduction information to enable young people to make informed choices.
- Develop and deliver drug and alcohol awareness sessions to professionals, families, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of recovery and well-being.
- Work in partnership with Safer Lincolnshire Partnership, specifically the Stay Safe Partnership, to deliver age-appropriate workshops and support young people in making positive lifestyle choices.
- Provide young people with information and advice on substances, promoting a culture of harm reduction and recovery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies to support young people in achieving their goals and improving their overall well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Experience of delivering and designing workshops, with a strong understanding of substance use and recovery principles.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the service.
- Knowledge of local services and resources, with the ability to provide young people with information and support.
- Commitment to Turning Point values and principles, with a passion for promoting recovery and well-being.
