Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Trade Coordinator to join our team at Red Door Recruitment. As an Import and Export Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and services across international borders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customs Compliance: Gain a deep understanding of customs requirements for UK exports to the EU and EU imports to the UK, including the road transport logistics model for moving freight to and from mainland Europe via Ferries or Eurotunnel.
  • Client Communication: Develop strong relationships with clients in the UK and Europe, providing exceptional customer service and resolving queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation and Administration: Create and submit Safety & Security Declarations, GMRs (Goods Movement References), and T1s, while maintaining accurate records and updating the Goods Vehicle Movement System daily.
  • Training and Development: Assist the Operations Team with phone answering, job file production, and training of our driving team in customs processes.
Requirements:
  • Strong Commercial Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve complex issues.
  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Have a good understanding of MS Excel and customs processes post-Brexit, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and procedures.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in French or German is an advantage, but not a necessity.
