About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team at Bethphage. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow reports
  • Maintenance of asset registers and sales ledgers
  • Monthly nominal link from Sage Payroll to Sage Accounts
  • Processing local authority purchase order changes
  • Communications with stakeholders and their families
  • Management of balance sheet control accounts
  • Production of various reports, including agency usage reports
  • Running month-end in Sage, including prepayments, accruals, and debt
  • Accrued turnover calculations
  • Importing journals to and from Sage Line 50 and budget software
  • Preparation of P&L Excel reports, formatting, and comments
  • Payroll support and cover

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, V lookups, and conditional formatting
  • Experience with Sage 50 Accounts desirable but not essential
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of management accounts
  • Knowledge and experience of the health and social care sector desirable
