Senior Liability Underwriter

We are seeking a seasoned Liability Underwriter to lead our Professional Indemnity underwriting team in the UK market. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting a diverse portfolio of Liability business, with a focus on delivering innovative insurance solutions to a wide range of UK-based brokers.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a well-established MGA with a strong presence in the UK market, offering a fantastic chance to grow and develop your underwriting career. Our client has a robust product range that includes EL/PL, General Liability, and Excess of Loss all relating to Construction Risks.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite a varied portfolio of Professional Indemnity risks, offering both Professional Combined and Corporate Combined cover.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to drive growth and profitability.
- Assess and manage risk appetite in line with the company's guidelines and objectives.
- Collaborate with other underwriting teams to maximize cross-sell opportunities and ensure high service levels.
- Significant experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting within the UK insurance market.
- Strong technical knowledge of PI products, including Excess of Loss cover.
- Proven ability to build and nurture broker relationships and generate new business.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a commercial mindset.
