We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Hays Accounts and Finance. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and other financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed sales analysis
- Preparation of actual vs. budget overhead reports and variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations and liaison with external and internal auditors
- Capex project spend control and analysis, as well as vendor tooling spend control and analysis
- Support with the preparation of the VAT return and Making Tax Digital
- Approval of payroll and ad hoc bank payments, as well as finance point of contact for HMRC Imports & Exports documentation/controls
- Relevant accountancy qualification and excellent numeracy skills
- Proven finance experience, with manufacturing or automotive experience desirable
- Strong people management skills and ability to work efficiently, accurately, and prioritize workload
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data and present information to various levels
- Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills a must
