About the Role

Hayward Hawk is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Specialist to join their team. This role is integral to bridging the gap between the infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, ensuring robust and secure IT operations for their diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Teams: Design and implement secure and scalable IT solutions in collaboration with the infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
  • Deploy and Manage Cybersecurity Tools: Deploy, configure, and manage cybersecurity tools, including SIEM, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management systems.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365 Services: Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services to ensure secure and efficient operations.
  • Manage Network Infrastructure: Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Implement Virtualization Technologies: Implement and manage virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Conduct Security Assessments: Conduct regular security assessments and audits, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing remediation plans.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients on cybersecurity best practices and infrastructure improvements.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Cybersecurity Threats: Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to proactively protect the organization and its clients.
  • Develop Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Participate in Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within an MSP or comparable environment.
  • Strong Background in Infrastructure Management: Strong background in infrastructure management, including Microsoft 365, networking, and virtualization.
  • Hands-on Experience with Cybersecurity Toolsets: Hands-on experience with cybersecurity toolsets such as SIEM, endpoint protection, firewalls, and vulnerability management.
  • In-depth Understanding of Network Protocols: In-depth understanding of network protocols, design, and security.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
