About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our urgent care pathway, you will provide expert psychological assessment and reports to referrers of people with a wide range of psychological problems.

You will also be responsible for offering clinical supervision and teaching to the multidisciplinary team, as well as providing staff support and reflective practice on an ad-hoc basis. We have close links with the Staffordshire Doctorate course and Keele TCAPS training programme, offering opportunities for trainee placements.

Main Duties
  • Provide expert psychological assessment and reports to referrers of people with a wide range of psychological problems.
  • Offer clinical supervision and teaching to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide staff support and reflective practice on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Maintain close links with other psychology colleagues within the urgent care pathway.

Person Specification

We are looking for a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with a good undergraduate degree and post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

As a member of our team, you will be supported by clinical supervision and managerial supervision, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
