About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate History teacher to join our expanding and successful History department as Head of History. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the History curriculum and ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in this subject.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the History department and develop a curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Teach History to students at Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Assess and report on student progress in History
  • Develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Humanities curriculum

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • A strong track record of teaching and leading in History
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to furthering their own professional development
  • A passion for History and a desire to inspire and motivate students
