About the RoleAs a Brokerage Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, sourcing, and establishing person-centred, high-quality, and cost-effective care and support packages for individuals. You will work closely with operational services providers and service users to identify, source, and establish effective care and support arrangements for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include sourcing a wide range of placements for children and young people, including fostering, residential, secure, semi-independent, and transition placements. You may also be required to source other services to complement care and support packages for children and young people.
About YouWe are looking for candidates with a degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in Health, Education, Social Care, or Commissioning. Previous experience of purchasing, sourcing, contract management, or financial management in either a private or public sector background in children or adults' services is essential. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience of working in a children's brokerage environment and an understanding of the children's health and social care system.
We also require excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work in partnership with stakeholders at all levels, and the capability of working flexibly in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be comfortable analysing data with good IT capabilities, such as the MS Office suite.
