About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Active Care Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to children and young people who require a high level of skilled care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people at all times
  • Build positive relationships with children and young people, promoting open and two-way communication
  • Support children and young people to make progress in every area of their lives, working closely with other agencies and professionals
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of child-centred care plans, ensuring that the needs of each individual are met
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and care
  • Establish effective communication methods with children and young people, reducing barriers where necessary
  • Assist with mealtimes and activities of daily living, providing personal care and support as required
Requirements
  • A genuine interest in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and colleagues
  • Experience working in the care sector or with learning disabilities is desirable, but not essential
  • A full clean driving licence and willingness to transport children and young people in the company mini bus would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
