About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Meddygfa Rhydbach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy duties, including blood sampling and specimen processing.
  • Process and manage laboratory samples via the GPTR system as requested by GPs and nurses.
  • Conduct ABPI assessments on patients as requested by GPs.
  • Administer vaccines, including influenza, shingles, and pneumococcal vaccines, to eligible patients.
  • Provide basic wound care under the guidance of GPs and Practice Nurses.
  • Record ECGs and perform new patient health checks.
  • Assist with vaccine and cold chain storage, monitoring, and recording.
  • Provide chaperoning duties and assist partners during minor operations clinics.
  • Restock and rotate surgical equipment and vaccines.
  • Clear and restock consulting rooms.
  • Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
  • Undertake specific clinical activities for named patients as delegated and taught.
  • Help raise awareness of health and well-being and promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Assist with data collection and collation on health and well-being needs.
