Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled administrator with experience in scholarships and student financial assistance. You will serve as the primary contact and administrator for our comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and postgraduate research scholarships. Your role will require meticulous attention to detail, strong financial reporting capabilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete scholarship lifecycle, which includes advertising, processing applications, and awarding scholarships for various programs.
- Manage scholarship processes in alignment with both internal and external timelines throughout the academic year.
- Facilitate the organization and support of scholarship selection panels.
- Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds to students.
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide guidance to prospective students and their families regarding scholarship opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff for inquiries related to post-award processes.
- Assist in all facets of Student Financial Support to enhance our comprehensive funding advisory service.
- Support the processing of federal and private loans, guiding students through the application process.
- Administer the College's Student Support Fund, providing advice and assessment as needed.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in student financial support.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Experience in managing databases for information storage and retrieval.
- Proven track record of delivering a responsive, customer-focused service.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in data analysis and presenting findings to support effective reporting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Advanced proficiency in IT, including word processing and spreadsheet management.
