Position Overview
The individual in this role is tasked with providing comprehensive nursing care within a clinical theatre environment. The primary emphasis is on delivering evidence-based practices for patients undergoing surgical procedures, alongside the provision of preventative health measures. As an independent practitioner, the nurse is accountable for the care provided, showcasing critical analysis and proficient clinical decision-making skills in patient management. Collaboration with the surgical team is essential to fulfill patient needs, uphold organizational policies, and offer nursing leadership as necessary.
Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; however, candidates who speak English and/or Welsh are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, design, implement, and assess treatment protocols that enhance health and wellness. Formulate, execute, and review personalized treatment strategies for patients with established long-term health conditions. Actively identify, assess, and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing chronic health issues as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to diagnose, monitor, manage, and treat long-term health conditions, including non-pharmacological treatment approaches in accordance with national and local guidelines. Review medications for therapeutic effectiveness, tailored to patient requirements and in line with evidence-based standards. Engage with patients to promote adherence to prescribed treatment regimens. Provide guidance and information regarding prescribed or over-the-counter medications, including potential side effects and interactions. Prioritize health concerns and intervene appropriately to assist patients in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including the initiation of effective emergency interventions. Encourage patients to adopt health promotion strategies that foster healthy living and self-care principles. Support and manage the health needs of women seeking family planning and cervical screening consultations.About Our Organization
